PSD Interim Superintendent Todd Lambert announced updates to the start of the second half of the school year with adjustments to the January/February schedule for secondary students. Staff were emailed the update on Jan. 6. See the updated schedule and read the entire Jan. 6 update in this news item.
PSD employees are invited to a virtual staff Q&A session from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12. A private link to access the livestream and information about the format was sent to staff in the Jan. 6 update email.

Dr. Lambert appointed interim superintendent; Dr. Gile to serve as interim assistant superintendent of elementary schools
The PSD Board of Education voted to officially appoint Dr. Todd Lambert as interim superintendent of schools. Dr. Lambert will serve in this position for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. He does not intend to apply for the permanent post, as he accepted a superintendency position in Warrick County in Indiana.
The school board recently hired education consulting firm Hazard Young Attea & Associates, or HYA, to help conduct a nationwide search and identify strong candidates. The school board will ultimately decide whom to hire as PSD's next top leader. Hiring process updates will be posted as they are available on the PSD Superintendent Search web page. Wd ssd external.
With Dr. Lambert's new appointment, Dr. Traci Gile will serve in his previous position as the interim assistant superintendent of elementary schools. Dr. Gile has worked in Thompson and Poudre school districts, serving most recently as principal of Lopez Elementary for the past nine years. Throughout her education career, she has taught elementary and high school students. She earned her bachelor's degree and a teacher's license from Colorado State University (CSU); completed her master's degree at University of Northern Colorado; and returned to CSU to pursue a doctorate in educational leadership.
The current plan is to post the position of permanent assistant superintendent of elementary schools in February or early March. The goal is for the permanent hire to be in place for the 2021-22 school year.

- Staff must be available during regular work hours, for scheduled staff meetings and collaboration sessions in alignment with the Employee Agreement.
- Minimize in-person meetings whenever possible. In-person meetings must follow social distancing requirements, face coverings must be worn and a remote option must be provided.
- Indoor meetings with more than 50 people are prohibited, in accordance with LCDHE guidelines.

The JSSC is open 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Main exterior doors will be unlocked during business hours to allow for walk-ins. However, guests to the JSSC will not be allowed to enter the building beyond the reception area unless they are accompanied by an employee. Appointments are highly encouraged to make sure the employee needed to meet with is available. Human Resources will continue to require employees and new hires to make an appointment by emailing hr@psdschools.org.
